As many of you know, I regularly check Linkedin, Google+, Twitter and Facebook for trending conversations. I am always looking for ways to keep my conversations alive with other users about certain topics without having to repost the same topic or link over and over.I have found two great applications to show my trending topics. Let me talk about them.
Twylah – Twitter Trending Topics
Twylah is a great platform which organizes your twitter conversations by key words. In addition, you can tell twitter which keywords you want displayed or not displayed. Also, you can add buttons like the one on the right side of this blog site to help show people the type of conversations you talk about on twitter.
In addition, sending tweets through Twylah will give you some SEO juice. If you do a search for my name, you will notice the twylah site comes up on the first page.
Go to the Twylah site and request an invitation. It may take a couple of days to get confirmation. At least that was my experience a couple of months ago.
Pluss.es – Google+ Conversation
This site takes all of your conversations that you want to display and puts them on one page. This is a very nice way for people to know more about you and the different types of information and conversations you have on Google Plus.
Check out my profilel on Pluss.es
This site isn’t at the level that Twylah is for Twitter, but it is a start and give people a place to show their conversations on Google+ with others.
I think sites like these will really help people connect their blog and website content with their conversations on social media sites. It is important to help people find you and know that you are active on social media sites. This can’t always be done if people are not following us in real-time on these sites. Also, we only have so much time in a day and we need our messages to resonate longer so other people can join our conversations. What is your opinion of these sites and this way of thinking. I would be interested to know your thoughts.
