Billboard Marketing Assignment

Empty BillboardToday class, your assignment is the following:

You have been given access to a free billboard along a busy intersection for 30 days for your respective company. What type of  information would you put on this billboard?

This exercise brings me back to my past history as a  Business Instructor at a couple of local colleges.

I still think about this particular exercise a lot.  It is a great way to organize your thoughts and it really helps your focus your message down to a few words and a call of action.

Are you trying to sell something or engage people to start a conversation with you?

Today, think about the billboards you see as you are driving. Which billboards really stand out?  Ask yourself, why you liked or disliked a particular billboard.

If you want to take it a step further, try applying this lesson to your online presence.  In this day and age, you only have a few seconds to get people’s attention.

What would your billboard look like?
