It is an exciting time! Lots of changes. Some people are embracing it and others have tried and quit. Some companies are doing well despite the economic conditions and others are not. Positioning is the key and we can see it around us and we can be a part of it ourselves. It’s time to start thinking about your positioning strategy and be in a position to dominate when the time is right.
SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS ARE POSITIONING
You can see it in the platforms. Google+ has made a number of changes in the last couple of months with respect to the way search occurs on Google through mobile and search. Pinterest has come on the scene through the use of images. Facebook is always changing for position. Linkedin is trying to get professionals and businesses more connected and Twitter continues to be a force with instant broadcasting.
COMPANIES AND MARKETERS ARE POSITIONING
What does this mean for you?
Review this post on Social Media Influence that I posted at the beginning of the year. It is really the backbone for being successful on social media platforms. **The Difference Maker**
Mobile, mobile, mobile -Tablets and phones are the new net books and laptops. Finding channels that work for you and your readers or clients is the key.
Keep reading – New technology is being released. Microsoft Office is coming to iPads and Android Tablets this November. Google is changing the way search occurs.
Keep Listening – Who are your clients? Older people 40-60 have more money and may be better reached through traditional marketing media.
Be Consistent – Make sure your voice is being heard on a regular basis.
Continue Blogging – A blog is the best way to keep your name fresh in the search and social worlds. If you do not have a blog or have not kept it up..Well, I guess you have a different strategy that works.
Don’t Stop – Seriously, keep pressing on. Change is constant, no one knows where all of this is headed, but it is better to be in the race and to keep learning then to be out of the race completely.
