Now that you are confused and you are still trying to figure out what social media is, please perform this little exercise,
Go back through this list and put in the word,
As you can see, the heart of this issue is TRUST.
How should companies portray their trust?
Shouldn’t companies listen to their clients if they truly trust the people that support them.
Wouldn’t you like your company to be one of the trusted brands out there.
Don’t you have to work everyday to earn people’s trust in your products and services.
Social Media is a channel to help facilitate TRUST. For this reason, companies are trying to place a value on trust and to see what the return on investment is with respect to trust.
The next time someone talks to you about social media, ask them what they are doing to earn their client’s trust. The answer might surprise you. If you are still relatively new to social media, think of social media as a “TRUST” channel and you will have a better experience than most people.
