I heard a reference to this book by Mitch Joel on his weekly Podcast and I dusted off my copy this morning and started to reread it. Mitch is absolutely right. This book probably applies more today than it did in the early 2000’s.
Check out this quote in the Foreward section.
I happen to believe that all innovation comes, not from market research or carefully crafted focus groups, but from pissed-off people. – Re-Imagine! p. 7
Another quote from the book that Mitch Joel referred to:
“If you don’t like change, you’re going to like irrelevance even less.” – Re-Imagine! p. 17
It’s time to get refocused in December and make sure you, as a leader can help position your company in the best light to service clients, improve processes and implement new ideas. Each year if feels like we have to reinvent ourself, but I am one who likes to stay hungry and not get satisfied with the way things currently stand.
Showing up Matters!!! – Here is a recent video that Tom Petters uploaded to his YouTube site. Tom’s message of innovation and change never gets old and is very refreshing, especially in chaotic times like the present.
