The past two days I have really had a great time interacting with clients and visitors at the Ag Connect Expo.
I think the biggest takeaway I have found is that people have access to all kinds of information and are being hit with it in all directions. It becomes an exercise of sorting out what information can be trusted and which information does not make sense.
Many people have come to our booth asking questions. I have learned to really listen and determine what the overall need or issue is. It takes a series of questions to find the need and/or issue. However, it is imperative that you know this to be effective and to have a productive conversation.
Many people do not want to tell you this information because they have not built up enough trust in you and your company. That is understandable.
However, the good news is that if you are willing to listen to people and genuinely show you care, you will find out what the particular need/ issue is and you will be able to address it.
It’s been a great show and I am ready for one last day!
