Everyday, I want to invite people to talk about their needs and wants and see if our company can assist in some way.
I like to connect through different mediums: social media sites, websites, email, face-to-face. Making the connection is critical
Today, my focus is the website. The trend today is to leave your website and connect on social media platforms. Ultimately, if you are doing any work online, you have to bring people to your site. Driving people to your site and expecting them to be interested in your content is a high expectation to have. Why not restart the conversation by inviting them to connect and offer them some options that interest them.
After receiving some feedback that our company website was too confusing, I decided it was time for a major overhaul on the Home Page. These people who provided feedback were right on. Our site was just a bunch of buttons and links with “No Direction”. It was supposed to be implied. I am currently working on creating a better web experience by developing a new Welcome/Home Page that offers direction and explains the different functions on the site. In addition, I am encouraging these people to call or email if they want to talk directly to someone.
It’s been a great awakening and I am really seeing the benefit with respect to people staying on our site longer and asking more questions.
Invite and Connect – Not only on social media but especially on Your Website. Take care of your clients on home and make it a positive experience. If they stay longer, there is more of a potential that they will ultimately become one of your clients.
