Companies are looking to add an app or make sure they are on Facebook or Twitter. The news media wants all of us to remain hesitant and make sure we understand the roll-out of new government regulations or proposed legislation. Some companies bring in outside consultants to help improve business processes and insure compliance with certifications and licenses. In addition, summer vacations are also a given and companies scramble to cover employees who are away from work.
When these issues consume our time, it is really time to take a step back and make sure that our clients are not suffering with respect to these day-to-day activities. Ultimately, the focus should always be on our clients. Without clients, there is no time for these other activities.
There is a real opportunity…
Some of the best business connections are made during this time because people want to listen to great stories of successful companies. It is a time for companies to really find out what their clients’ needs are and to see if your company can add value. Take time to share your story, but more important listen to your clients closely. This information is very valuable.
As we finish out another month, and edge ever closer to the middle of 2013, take time to review your current programs and campaigns and take steps to move forward in the second part of 2013.
Ask yourself, are the current activities I am currently doing really adding value to our clients. If you are not adding value for your clients, you need to realign your priorities and analyze where you are spending your time.
