It is a very important question and the answer to this question says alot about you as a leader.

In 2015, I have written numerous articles about why I think it will be an awesome year.
My number one reason or my optimism is resiliency.
In order to be successful, you need to be able to consistently be strong and confident in the way you approach your job as a leader at your company. Notice the definition does not say upset, confrontational or argumentative. It focuses on being healthy and strong. The only way to do this is to learn from mistakes and move forward.
If you find yourself constantly upset and ticked off, try a new approach by looking at your situation in a different manner. I discovered this word toward the end of 2014 and it has made all the difference with respect to my work at the following:
- Developing stronger relationships
- Addressing challenging situations at work
- Becoming more aware of the decisions I make and how they affect my health
One technique I use is journaling more often. I write down the issues that I am facing and then I look for ways to address these issues.
In addition, it is critical to continue to look at the work of others and stay updated on issues your staff are addressing. You don’t have to solve every problem, but the more awareness you have regarding these issues, the better you will be with respect to adding support and understanding your current surroundings.
