TACKLING THE ISSUES THAT AFFECT OUR BUSINESSES

MAKING A DIFFERENCE EVERYDAY

People marketing

business peopleThis time of year a lot of focus is on product advertising and marketing and promotions. The Sunday Newspaper is about 4 inches thick, (10 cm).  It is a crazy time.  All of these ads are looking to make an impression. Here is an idea regarding these ads.

What if those people who are showing off clothes or handling different products could actually speak and you actually knew their name and a little bit about them. Wouldn’t that draw some of you a little closer? What if people could actually post how they felt about those particular products and services and they had to do so by displaying their name and a personal bio.

My point here is that people do make the difference. Before there was social media, there were trade shows and conferences. People had to promote and connect with other people.  Fast-forward to today… Now we know that people cannot physically be in different places each day, but through social business (social media)  platforms we can bring more of a personal connection to our marketing projects.

My point here is that it is ok to give reference to a particular person in your blog post and give that person credit. Talk about what you like about that person, make your marketing more personal.  If you like a particular product or service and you found someone else who talked about it from personal experience, acknowledge their experience and offer your insight on their report.

Again, by involving people into your writing, you will be able to connect with others on a much deeper level.  We are moving toward a social business model, and the biggest asset is people.
