This is the key to success in any marketing initiative.
Everyone talks about goals and objectives, but what about all the projects that get started and never completed.
My goal this year is to make sure projects get started and completed in a timely manner.
Setting deadlines is the first part of this process.
- Compete your daily tasks – You should have some recurring tasks that you need to get done very day. (List it and cross it off)
- Set some weekly deadlines – Give yourself a few days to get some items completed. (With specific date)
- Set some short-term deadlines 30 days. (With specific date)
- Anything over 30 days, break it up into smaller segments. (With specific date)
I know this post may be oversimplifying this point a bit, but if you truly want to measure success of your marketing and professional activity, this process is the key.
What is your most pressing task or project? Have you set a specific date of completion? If not, your success rate may have just fallen off?
List your task, set the date and complete your task before your completion date. You will be able to track your accomplishments and you will be more successful in the process.
