Google Search and Your NameThe rules are changing and they are changing fast.

People are in control and that control is in the power of their hand.

This year I am really looking at my whole content management objectives. I think content is extremely important, but ultimately it is a driver to my reader to want more and to ultimately be the face on his/her smartphone with the name of our company and the name of someone to connect to.

“When someone searches for a particular product or service, wouldn’t it be cool if your name and profile came up as a part of that search?”

This is one of my goals. This is what Google Authorship is all about! When a person searches for key words, the person receives information about that key word and a name and a face with that key word to show his/her authority on that particular subject.

As much as we all would like to stay out of the limelight, the new search rules and social media are making this task almost impossible.

My advice to you is to do the following:

1) Get on Google Authorship

2) Start writing a blog or article on specific content you want to be associated with

3) Keep track of those words where your profile appears and see if it is making a difference.

Finally, don’t take yourself too seriously. This process takes time to see results. It does not happen over night. I started seeing results about 3-6 months into the process. It is a process that will help you keep ahead of your competition and the beauty is your hard work will pay off and you will become a expert and authority at the same time.
