The original article will be posted on Linkedin, but I have added two bonus items for those of you who follow me on this site. Thank You!
People are not reading many articles these days. It can be a bit frustrating for people who write content, but it is what it is. People are inundated with words and phrases.
When was the last time you went without reading or writing a text message?
Here is my list of reminders that I am going to work on this week to see if writing less is actually a better approach these days than writing a long article.
TALK FASTER
The more clean and precise the content is the better it will reside.
CREATE SCANNABLE CONTENT
Create a document that is easy on the eyes. Keep paragraphs to 3 sentences or less and break up the page to make it easy to read.
MORE PICTURES
Use pictures to drive home a point.
LISTEN MORE/WRITE LESS
Continue to listen closer and try different writing styles to connect.
(Bonus) TRY TO SHARE MORE QUICK UPDATES ON LINKEDIN AND TWITTER
I really believe these two sites are going to come back as people look to create shorter messages.
(Bonus) LOOK AT SHARING MORE CONTENT REGULARLY
It appears that regular, updated content is providing a boost in search traffic. I need to see where this content is doing better and capitalize on it.
When was the last time you read an article from start to finish?
Thanks for reading this article.
