Last weekend I “experienced” a U2 Concert. (Experience + Innocence) is the theme of the 2018 Tour.
The experience was unmatched by anything I had ever seen at a concert. It was much more than a concert. Most concert stages have screens on the side of the stage. The setup here was similar to Dallas Cowboys Stadium with a massive screen in the middle of the arena perpendicular to the stage.
The concert helped reinforce to me why I continue to follow this group and will into the future. This band is not done and is still trying to get better. U2 will be around for more.
My takeaway and application for my business
Create a client experience that no one has seen. I am working on this every day. I am interjecting new ideas every day. It is creating a level of new excitement that had been missing. People are noticing. This is the prime objective. People have to see a company that is continuing to innovate and looks newer and fresher every day.
Be a leader in this area. The best experience comes from the people in the company who define it and act on it. The experience starts with your internal staff. They have to buy-in first. From here, the experience can begin for clients. Take some time and get a small team together to implement a client experience initiative.
Think big, think smart, think different!
